Prior to returning to school at the age of 43, I was a career musician—creating art has always been a huge part of my life and although I loved creating and performing music for a living, something was missing: My Authentic Voice.
Now I bring my love of creation to the written word sharing my stories and standing in my truth. Something we can all grasp onto together.
I am a fifty-two-year-old-musician-turned-author-educator-motivational speaker. I've published a variety of articles and essays covering everything from family, to feminism, to the importance of the female voice. I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida and hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a concentration in pedagogical Writing and Rhetoric and a double master’s degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. Additionally, I am pursuing a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Fiction.
I married the love of my life in March 2013. We happily reside in Melbourne, Florida with our two precious pups and one very special feline!
